“The Blind Monkey” on National Geographic Channel (Nat Geo Wild)! China’s Taihang Mountains are a tough place to be a baby monkey. Steep cliffs, scorching summers and very, very cold winters all take their toll. It’s a particularly tough place to be a blind baby monkey. Most blind babies die in a matter of weeks, however the extreme devotion of one macaque mother has an extraordinary result. The Blind Monkey provides an insight into macaque society and suggests that compassion may not be a uniquely human behavior.
I feel very proud to be part of this amazing team, directed by Ramón Campoamor and produced by Crop Tv. I have composed an orchestral soundtrack mixed with some ethnic instruments to reflect this story full of drama and love. You can watch an excerpt here: https://vimeo.com/croptv2/blindmonkey
